Charlotte Jones

Charlotte is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years' experience in Financial Services. Charlotte joined Aviva in September 2022 as Group Chief Financial Officer and currently leads the Global Finance Function, responsible for financial reporting, capital and financial performance management. She is a member of the Group Executive Committee reporting to Aviva Group CEO, Amanda Blanc and an Executive Director on the Group Board with active participation in the Group Audit and Board Risk Committee meetings.

Charlotte is a highly experienced CFO with an impressive track record across the insurance, banking and asset management industries. Charlotte was previously Chief Financial Officer of RSA Insurance plc and Interim Chief Executive Officer of the RSA UK & International business. She has held a number of other senior roles in financial services including CFO of Jupiter Fund Management plc, where she was a member of the Board and Executive Committee, with responsibility for finance and corporate strategy. Before that Charlotte was Head of Group Finance at Credit Suisse Group, Deputy Group CFO at Deutsche Bank Group and an audit partner at EY. Charlotte is a qualified chartered accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Financial Management and Economics from the University of Sheffield.

Emmanuel Faber

Chair, 
ISSB

Emmanuel Faber was appointed as the inaugural Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board in December 2021, effective 1 January 2022. In December 2023 he was reappointed to serve a second three-year term starting 1 January 2025.

Mr Faber is well-known for his passion for sustainability and his leadership positions at multi-national food products company Danone for the past 20 years. He joined the company in 1997 as Chief Financial Officer, Strategy, and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 2014, as well as Chair of the Board from 2017 until 2021. He became a partner at Astanor Ventures in October 2021.

Mr Faber has lived and held senior leadership positions in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe. He has founded and chaired several international organisations and initiatives, including the One Planet Business for Biodiversity coalition and the G7 Business for Inclusive Growth coalition―co-chaired with the OECD Secretary General. He initiated Danone Communities, a social business initiative providing funding to bring nutrition and water access for vulnerable communities, as well as the Livelihoods Venture, which provides funding for ecosystem restoration and the development of sustainable farming in emerging economies.

Prior to joining Danone, he held roles as Chief Financial Officer and later Managing Director at Legris Industries. He also has experience from investment banking at Baring Brothers and as a consultant at Bain & Company.

He holds a Master’s degree in business administration from HEC Paris, France. 

Jean-Paul Servais

Chair,
IOSCO

Jean‑Paul Servais is Chairman of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), elected in 2022 and re‑elected in 2024. Under his leadership as IOSCO Chairman, IOSCO reached several important milestones in recent years. He also chairs its European Regional Committee. The first Belgian in this role, he further serves as the head of the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) and sits on the boards of ESMA and the ESRB. Since 1 January 2025 he chairs the OECD Corporate Governance Committee. 

He previously chaired the IFRS Foundation Monitoring Board (2017‑2023) and co‑chaired the Monitoring Group regarding audit standard setting (2021‑2023). A part‑time professor in International Business Law at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, University of Brussels), he has authored or co-authored over 500 works on European and international financial supervision and regulation.

Jane Goodland

Jane is a sustainability leader in financial services with 25+ years experience in sustainable finance, responsible investment, public policy and communications, gathered across institutional asset management, investment consulting, wealth management and market data and infrastructure.  
Jane was named in the Top 100 European CSO's in 2024, the Fifty Most Influential in Sustainable Finance in 2023 and she was awarded ‘Women of the Year’ and ‘Leadership Advocate of the Year’ in the Women in Finance Awards 2018. 

Sue Lloyd

Vice-Chair,
ISSB

Sue Lloyd’s appointment as Vice-Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), effective 1 March 2022, was announced in January 2022. 

She served as a member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) from 2014 and as IASB Vice-Chair from 2016. She also served as Chair of the IFRS Interpretations Committee from 2017. 

In addition to her IASB responsibilities, she played a leading role in the establishment of the ISSB from 2020, including as a member of the Technical Readiness Working Group, which was created by the Trustees to give the ISSB a running start. 

Prior to becoming an IASB member, Ms Lloyd worked for the IFRS Foundation as a senior technical director, leading the development of new IFRS Accounting Standards, and as director of capital markets with responsibility for the IASB’s reform of accounting for financial instruments. She also worked for the IFRS Foundation from 2002 to 2004 as a technical project manager. 

Ms Lloyd has held various positions in investment banking both in the UK and in Australia and has served as a member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB).  

Patrick de Cambourg

Chair,
EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board

Patrick de Cambourg is the Chair of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board since November 2022. 
Between 2015 and November 2022, he was President of the Autorité des normes comptables (ANC), the French accounting standard-setting Public Authority. As such, he was also a member of the Boards of Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), CNOCP and a member of the Haut Conseil de Stabilité Financière. 
Patrick was a member of the EFRAG Financial Reporting Board and chaired the EFRAG Project Task Force on preparatory work for the elaboration of possible EU non-financial reporting standards from September 2020 until April 2022. 
Patrick, a graduate from Sciences Po Paris, holds degrees in public and business law and has a Bachelor of Arts. As chartered accountant and auditor, he spent his entire career within the Mazars Group, successively as junior, manager, partner and senior partner (1983-2014). Since late 2014, he is Honorary President of the Mazars Group. 

Emily McKenzie

Technical Director,
TNFD

Emily McKenzie is the Technical Director at the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). She has worked for 20 years integrating nature in policy, finance, economics and decision-making. Most recently, she led the analytical team that produced the independent, global Dasgupta Review on the Economics of Biodiversity, based at HM Treasury in the UK. Emily previously was seconded to the Capitals Coalition Technical Group where she helped develop the Natural Capital Protocol. Emily worked for a decade in the WWF Global Science team, where she helped establish and lead the Natural Capital Project at Stanford University. She also helped design the Environmental Land Management scheme in England – a major national agricultural subsidy reform programme – based at the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Other previous roles include working with the Joint Nature Conservation Committee and the Pacific Islands Applied Geoscience Commission.   

Richard Barker

Richard Barker was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022, effective 8 July 2022.  

Before joining the ISSB, he served as deputy dean and professor of accounting at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, UK. In this capacity, he led Oxford Saïd’s sustainable business initiatives.  

He has published a wide range of academic research papers on accounting and sustainability disclosures. He has chaired the expert panel of Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) and served as a member of several committees and bodies focused on corporate reporting in the UK and Europe, including the UK Corporate Reporting Council (UK accounting standard-setter), the Financial Reporting Advisory Board and the European Accounting Association’s Accounting Standards Committee.  

Professor Barker served as a research fellow at the International Accounting Standards Board from 2001 to 2007.  

Bing Leng

Bing Leng was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022, effective 1 July 2022. 

He joins the ISSB from the Chinese Ministry of Finance where he was responsible for sustainability reporting initiatives. He initiated and led the implementation of several reporting-related programmes, including the development of digital taxonomies to enable electronic reporting, the revised financial instrument accounting standards and plans focused on digitising electronic payment vouchers and invoices. 

Mr Leng was a member of the International Accounting Standards Board’s IFRS Taxonomy Consultative Group from 2019 to 2022 and a member of the Board of Directors of XBRL International from 2014 to 2020. 

He is a Doctor of Management and has a Master of Accounting from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in China. 

Gülşah Günay

Gülşah Günay started her career as an Assistant State Revenue Specialist at the Revenue Administration in June 2006. In December 2008, she successfully gained the position of Assistant Specialist at the Turkish Accounting Standards Board and continued in this role until March 2023 when she served as an expert at the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority. Since March 2023, she has been working as the Head of Sustainability Standards Department in Public Oversight Authority. 

Gülşah graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 2005. In 2020, she completed the English Language Teaching Bachelor's Program at Anadolu University. Currently, she is pursuing her postgraduate education in the field of Accounting at AHBV University, Graduate School of Education, in the thesis stage. 

Alison Bewick

Alison Bewick was appointed as Head of Group Sustainability Reporting at Nestlé in 2025, where she directs the development and implementation of sustainability reporting aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. She leads cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability reporting and metrics into business processes and operations, while strengthening the governance and framework of reporting. 

Prior to this role, Alison served as Head of Group Risk Management at Nestlé for 10 years, overseeing the Group’s risk management framework and integrating risk considerations into strategic planning. During her tenure, she effectively led the implementation and reporting of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) at Nestlé. Alison represented Nestlé on the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), contributing to the development of the reporting framework and tools to better incorporate nature-related risks into business decision-making. 

Alison qualified as a chartered management accountant in 1999. Before joining Nestlé, she held various senior finance positions across diverse sectors, including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and media. 

Cristina Gil White

Chief Engagement Officer,
GRI

Cristina is Chief Engagement Officer at GRI, where she leads commercial operations, marketing, communications and stakeholder relations. Cristina began as GRI Chief Operational Officer in September 2023, before stepping up to be interim CEO between September 2024 and February 2025, with a mandate to finalize and implement the organizational strategy.  

Previously, Cristina served for almost three years on the GRI Supervisory Board, was Chief Sustainability & Communications Officer at Suzano, and Vice-President of Sustainability at Orbia.  

 Alongside her extensive sustainability and corporate leadership experience, Cristina has held several senior positions in the non-profit world, in sectors ranging from environmental conservation and education to poverty alleviation. This included roles with The Nature Conservancy, Rare Conservation, Fundacion EDUCA and Pronatura Noreste.   

Cristina is trained as a chemist and holds a MSc in Environmental Science.  A board member of the World Environment Center, Cristina has previously held non-executive positions with publicly listed companies and NGOs. She has worked in Mexico, the U.S. and Brazil and is now based in Spain. 

Yulia Feygina

IASB Technical Director – Connectivity,
IFRS Foundation

Yulia Feygina is IASB Technical Director—Connectivity. Ms Feygina joined the IFRS Foundation in 2011 and worked in various roles on a variety of IASB projects, including on financial instruments, business combinations under common control, management commentary and aspects of the Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting. In 2023, Ms Feygina was seconded to the ISSB as the lead drafter of IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information. 

Ms Feygina is currently responsible, together with her ISSB counterpart, for driving and embedding connections between the work of the IASB and ISSB. As part of her role, she provides support to the IASB and ISSB technical teams, with the current focus on the Climate-related and Other Uncertainties in the Financial Statements project and educational materials on the ISSB’s inaugural Standards. Ms Feygina also oversees the Management Commentary project and provides additional technical leadership and standard-setting expertise to the Integrated Reporting and Connectivity team. 

Prior to joining the IFRS Foundation, Ms Feygina held various positions in PwC in the UK and Central and Eastern Europe and taught IFRS at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University). 

Elisa Cencig

Norges Bank Investment Management 

Elisa Cencig is Head of Policy Engagement at Norges Bank Investment Management, where she leads a team responsible for the fund’s engagement with international organisations, standard-setters and policymakers on corporate disclosures and corporate governance. Prior to that, she worked at the UK Financial Authority on EU Withdrawal and international standard setting, and at the Association of Financial Markets in Europe on banking regulation. She is an alumna of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa (Italy) and the College of Europe (Belgium) and holds a PhD in Political Science from the London School of Economics. 

David Bolderston

ISSB Technical Director, S1/S2 Implementation, IFRS Foundation 

David is a techical director at the ISSB, having joined in July 2023. Prior to joining the ISSB, he was at Macquarie Group in Sydney, Australia where he was head of the accounting policy and advisory team responsible for IFRS compliance across the group. He was also responsible for driving ESG reporting to meet evolving landscape needs. He spent 10 years with PwC Australia in accounting advisory. 

Veronika Pountcheva

Veronika Pountcheva was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in August 2022, effective 1 October 2022.  

Prior to her appointment, Ms Pountcheva served as Senior Vice President of corporate responsibility of METRO AG and Co-chief Executive Officer of NX Food, with responsibility for developing the company’s long-term sustainability strategy. She previously held leadership roles at METRO in Bulgaria, Ukraine, Germany and Serbia. Ms Pountcheva also chaired initiatives at the Consumer Goods Forum and Leading Executives Advancing Diversity. 

Ms Pountcheva holds a Master’s of Economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia and a Master’s of Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry from the Technical University of Sofia. 

Özlem Ünlüer

Global Sustainability Director,
Beko

Özlem Ünlüer is Global Sustainability Director at Beko, where she leads the company’s long-term sustainability strategy across its network of 46 global production facilities. She oversees alignment with international frameworks including IFRS-ISSB, EU ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and CSRD, and manages reporting to leading sustainability indices such as Dow Jones, FTSE, MSCI, Corporate Knights, and Sustainalytics. She also spearheaded Turkey’s first €350 million green bond issued by an industrial company and coordinated sustainable financing transactions with the EBRD. 

Ünlüer has represented Beko as a panelist at COP25, COP28, and COP29. She served as a WBCSD Liaison Delegate and completed the WBCSD LEAP Sustainability Program, with modules delivered at ESADE, Yale, and NUS. She also holds executive education certificates from Harvard Business School and the University of Cambridge. 

She began her career at Deloitte Turkey in M&A Tax before joining Beko in 2015. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration from Koç University in Istanbul. 

Gad Mausolf

Gad Mausolf is a finance professional with extensive experiences in strengthening reporting processes and enhancing the quality and completeness of both financial and sustainability disclosures. In his current role at EBRD, he plays a key part in advancing global sustainability reporting frameworks, specialized in the ISSB standards. 

His expertise lies in building reliable, transparent structures that connect sustainability data with financial information, to deliver disclosures that are credible, comparable, and decision-useful for stakeholders. With a background in international finance and cross-functional collaboration, his work combines analytical depth with a strong focus on governance and assurance.  

Gad previously worked in international management consulting with a focus on digital finance and ESG, in audit and tax services at a Big Four firm, and as a finance manager in international development. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting as well as postgraduate certificates in ESG & Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance. 

Martin Bailey

Martin Bailey oversees financial processes, external reporting, tax, and treasury control at Heathrow, where he also serves on the ESG and Risk & Assurance Committees. Martin has held various corporate finance roles at Tesco and Pret A Manger, and has an audit background from EY in both the UK and US. I’m also an alum of the A4S Academy. 

Lorraine Holleway

Lorraine Holleway is currently Group Head of Sustainability Reporting at Shell plc, where she leads on global Sustainability Reporting and serves as Secretary to Shell’s Carbon Reporting Committee – the governing body for GHG emissions reporting across the company. With more than 25 years in senior finance and sustainability roles, she has helped shape Shell’s approach to new frameworks including TCFD, CSRD, and the ISSB Standards, ensuring transparent reporting for investors and stakeholders. 

A Fellow of ACCA and former elected Council and Board Member, and Chair of the ACCA Global Corporate Reporting Forum for more than 10 years, Lorraine has been active in advancing the profession’s role in financial and sustainability reporting. Her career has taken her from the UK to the Netherlands and Qatar, covering everything from IFRS expertise and controllership to building strong governance frameworks and leading large transformation programmes. She is passionate about connecting finance with sustainability, making complex requirements practical, and helping businesses embed sustainability reporting into performance and decision-making. 

Ece Sevin

Assurance Partner, Sustainability Services Leader, EY Türkiye

Ece Sevin is a Partner at EY Türkiye, where she leads the Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice. She has nearly 20 years of experience advising companies on sustainability strategy, reporting, and assurance, with a strong focus on both national and international standards. 

She has extensive expertise in sustainable finance, Türkiye Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), ISSB, CSRD, and the EU Taxonomy, and works closely with regulators, industry associations, institutional investors and corporates to help shape the evolving ESG landscape in Türkiye. 

Ece has led numerous high-profile projects across the public, banking, energy, manufacturing, and services sectors, supporting clients in climate- and ESG-related risk management, policy making, GHG accounting, double materiality assessments, and ESG due diligence. 

Jeffrey Hales

Jeffrey Hales was appointed as a member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022, effective 1 July 2022. 

He served as the Chair of Value Reporting Foundation’s SASB Standards Board from 2018 to 2022, overseeing the agenda setting and due process associated with the SASB standards development and maintenance. Before serving on the Standards Board, he chaired the SASB Standards Council, which was formed in 2012. 

Dr Hales also teaches at the University of Texas, where he is the Charles T. Zlatkovich Centennial Professor of Accounting. His widely published research has focused on reporting standards, regulation and behavioural finance. 

He served as an academic research fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board in the US in 2009-10 and as a member of its Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council from 2016 to 2019. Dr Hales served on the UK Financial Reporting Council’s Future of Corporate Reporting Advisory Group from 2018 to 2022. He was also a member of the Climate Disclosure Standard Board from 2018 to 2022. 

He has a PhD in management from Cornell University in New York. 

Ciara Burke

Ciara Burke leads the Europe Chapter of the Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) CFO Leadership Network. 

Prior to joining A4S, Ciara was a Director at EY, bringing over 17 years of professional services experience across assurance and consulting. Her cross sector experience spans Finance and Sustainability transformation projects and the intersection of these areas, highlighting the vital and strategic role CFOs can play in driving resilience and shaping a more sustainable future.   

Ciara is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), Sustainable Finance - CertSF (CIMA) and has a BA in Economic Geography from University College London. 

Nicolaj Sebrell

Nicolaj serves as Director Investor Relationship, EMEA, for ISSB. Previously, he worked in ESG Corporate Ratings heading a team of analysts covering Energy, Materials, and Utilities where he helped managed the corporate ratings methodology and produced thought leadership content. He brings 20 years of equity research and asset management experience covering various industries in both developed and emerging markets that included a stint as a top-3 ranked sell-side analyst. Prior to working in financial services, Nicolaj served five years as a submarine officer in the US Navy. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, an MBA from New York University, the CFA designation, and the CFA ESG certificate. 

Jonathan Horrell

Weir Group 

Jonathan is Group Head of Sustainability at Weir Group, the FTSE-100 mining technology business, providing mission-critical solutions for smarter, more efficient and sustainable mining to a global customer base.  

His role is to implement Weir’s sustainability strategy, with a particular focus on accelerating sustainable mining practices to enable customers to achieve net zero. A key focus has been quantification of avoided emissions for energy-efficient technology used in highly intensive mining processes. In addition, he leads programmes to deliver a sustainable Weir, through reducing operations footprint, creating zero harm and building Weir’s culture. 

He is responsible for sustainability reporting – including TCFD, CDP and emerging regulation – and guiding the process to set Science Based Targets (approved March 2023).  

Previously, until October 2020, he was Global Director of Sustainability for Mondelēz International (formerly Kraft Foods), responsible for the company’s strategic sustainability priorities across the value chain from agricultural sourcing to post-consumer waste. 

Until December 2011 – a period which included the acquisition of Cadbury – he was Kraft’s Corporate Affairs Director for the UK and Ireland, with responsibility for external and internal communications, public affairs and community involvement. 

Jonathan previously worked in the UK dairy industry and a journalist on a variety of IT and finance titles. 

Jonathan Bailey

Jonathan Bailey, CFA, Managing Director, is the Global Head of Stewardship and Sustainable Investing at Neuberger Berman a private, independent employeeowned investment manager founded in 1939.

Jonathan joined the firm in 2017 and has overall responsibility for how financially material environmental, social and governance factors are considered in investment processes and engagement activities. He also oversees the firm’s approach to sustainable and impact investing across asset classes. He spent the bulk of his prior career at McKinsey & Co, where he was an Associate Partner.

Jonathan holds an MBA (with high distinction) from Harvard Business School, an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and an MA(Oxon) from the University of Oxford. He has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Jonathan is the Vice Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Investor Advisory Group.

Charlotte Lush

ISSB Technical Staff, Human Capital Lead

Charlotte is the Human Capital Project Lead as part of the ISSB's Technical Staff, where she is leading the overall delivery of the ISSB's Human Capital research project. Her career has focused on increasing understanding of the relationship between business activities and labour issues, doing so both in Asia and in Europe.

Most recently, Charlotte oversaw research at the Workforce Disclosure Initiative, where she developed a programme focused in gathering and evaluating investor-relevant workforce information. She holds a Master's Degree in Human Rights and Postgraduate Diploma in Law. 

Jenny
Bofinger-Schuster

Jenny Bofinger-Schuster was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in August 2022, effective 1 December 2022. 

Prior to joining the ISSB, Ms Bofinger-Schuster served as Senior Vice President for sustainability and operational excellence at Siemens. In this role she was responsible for developing the company’s sustainability strategy and for implementing new disclosure requirements. 

Prior to this she held senior positions at Siemens Management Consulting and Horváth & Partners Management Consultants. 

Ms Bofinger-Schuster holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Augsburg and an MBA from the University of Dayton, Ohio. 

Sam Prestidge

ISSB Technical Staff, Strategy Lead,
IFRS Foundation

Sam Prestidge is the ISSB Technical Staff Strategy Lead and is in his tenth year with the IFRS Foundation. Sam oversees the ISSB’s technical engagement with jurisdictions on interoperability, including with the European Union. 

Previously Sam supported the work of the IFRS Foundation Trustees in their project on sustainability-related reporting in establishing the International Sustainability Standards Board. 

Prior to the IFRS Foundation, Sam worked in the secretariat of the European Parliament on the impact assessment of market and environmental policy. 

He holds a Master’s Degree in International Social Policy (MA) from the University of Nottingham and an Undergraduate Degree in Law (LLB Hons) from the University of Northumbria. 

Spencer Powell

Managing Director,
Just Climate

Spencer Powell is the Managing Director of Climate Finance at Just Climate, a climate-led investing business setup by Generation Investment Management. Spencer is a member of Just Climate’s 3 investment teams and leads the integration of climate and nature impact in research and pipeline prioritisation, pre-investment due diligence, post-investment value creation with portfolio companies, and how performance is reported to LPs.  

Previously, Spencer spent three years at the Impact Management Project, where he led work on corporate disclosure as a technical facilitator and subject matter expert on measurement and disclosure of corporate sustainability. This work culminated in a secondment to the IFRS Foundation, where Spencer worked on development of the newly formed International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and led its technical work on climate-related disclosures right up to the publication of the board’s inaugural exposure draft. 

Himani Phadke

Executive Technical Director, ISSB,

Himani Phadke is ISSB Executive Technical Director at the IFRS Foundation. In this role, she guides the technical staff’s standard-setting activities, including enhancements to the SASB standards, nature-related research as well as educational content. 

Himani’s career spans leadership roles in different areas of sustainability, including as Research Director and Interim Head of Standards at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Himani was previously Head of ESG Investment Integration at Allspring Global Investments, formerly known as Wells Fargo Asset Management. There she managed a team of strategists and led strategic sustainability initiatives across Allspring, including enhancing ESG integration for better investment decision-making, sustainability education and training, product development, and establishing analytical sustainability frameworks. At SASB, Himani managed and mentored the research team in identifying disclosure topics and building the evidence basis across all SASB industry standards, including collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. After SASB, Himani led ESG data and content at a fintech ESG data provider, Truvalue Labs. She also has a background in financial consulting and policymaking at the UK Treasury, and has a Masters in Development Economics from Oxford University and a Masters in International Energy and Environmental Policy from Stanford University. 

Richard Manley

Chief Sustainability Officer,

As Chief Sustainability Officer, Richard is responsible for overseeing the implementation of CPP Investments’ sustainability strategy. He works with the Senior Management Team to ensure a global, crossenterprise approach to sustainability-related risks and opportunities that contributes to superior long-term returns. Before joining CPP Investments in 2019, Richard spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, where he served most recently as the Global Head of Thematic Equity and ESG Research, and Co-Head of EMEA Equity Research.

Previously, he held senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Paribas Capital Markets. Richard is a member of the GHG Protocol Steering Committee. He is Chair Emeritus of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Investor Advisory Group and was previously a member of the UK’s Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) Delivery Group and the Task Force on Climaterelated Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Richard holds a Graduado Superior/BA (Hons) in European Business Administration from ICADE in Madrid. 

Katie Schmitz

Katie Schmitz leads the ISSB Investor Advisory Group, comprising over 60 leading global asset owners and managers – with >US$74 Trillion AUM – supporting a global baseline standard for the communication of corporate performance on sustainability-related risks and opportunities relevant to investors. This reprises similar roles Katie has played at the Value Reporting Foundation, prior to its merger with IFRS in August 2022 and at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. Katie worked with investment bank Salomon Brothers for over a decade in the US, Japan, and Hong Kong. Her experience in project development and finance spans the energy sector (both fossil fuels and renewables), the protection of forested lands, and water disinfection in developing markets. She holds a BA in Japanese from the University of California, Berkeley, an MBA from l’Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau, France, an executive certificate in sustainability from the Presidio Graduate School of San Francisco, and a Global Competent Boards Designation. 

Bina Desai

Head of Research Integration,

As Head of Research Integration at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Bina Desai leads firmwide efforts to embed sustainability and fundamental research more deeply into investment decision-making. She oversees the integration of sustainable insights across asset classes, manages the firm’s internal sustainability scoring framework and drives collaboration between analysts and portfolio managers to strengthen the link between research and sustainable investment outcomes. 

Since beginning her investment career in 2008, Bina has led a range of initiatives advancing sustainability integration, stewardship and engagement, helping to align research rigor with the evolving expectations of clients, regulators and the broader investment industry. Passionate about fostering dialogue between investors and companies, she works to drive transparency, accountability and long-term value creation through data-informed, sustainable research. 

Evan Tylenda

Head of EMEA,
GS Sustain 

Evan Tylenda joined the GS SUSTAIN team in 2015 in San Francisco. In January 2019, Evan transferred to London and is now Head of EMEA GS SUSTAIN. Previously, Evan worked for the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), an independent standard setting organization, helping to develop industry-specific standards for publicly listed corporations to disclose material ESG factors for the benefit of investors. 

Thomas Viegas

Group Nature Lead,

Thomas is an experienced professional with deep expertise in environmental economics, finance, and policy making. He has worked for the Bank of England, HM Treasury, the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), and Aviva. 

Thomas is currently Group Nature Lead at Aviva. In this role, he leads the development and oversees delivery of Aviva’s nature agenda, ambition, and actions. This includes leading the prioritisation, development, and coordination of nature-related activities across investment, insurance, and operations areas of the business to deliver on such ambition. Thomas is also currently an independent member of the UK's Office for Environmental Protection (OEP) College of Experts, and the Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Nature Advisory Group. 

Thomas was previously Head of Capacity Building and Regulatory Engagement for the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). Prior to joining TNFD, he worked at the Bank of England, where he developed and led the Bank’s initial approach and strategy to nature-related financial risks, and co-authored a range of NGFS and UN Sustainable Insurance Forum (SIF) foundational publications related to nature-related financial risk. Thomas was also previously an Economic Advisor of the UK government’s The Economics of Biodiversity: The Dasgupta Review, and has been an independent member of the UK Statistics Authority National Statistician’s Committee for Advice on Standards for Economic Statistics (NSCASE).
